this is a Radioshack xmods. I recently found my old one and bought some upgrades. I tried to make the back look like a hellcat. I haven't wired it up (and need to also Find a lipo charger as well for cheap). I predict it'll run around 20-30 mph, depending on the gearing.

They drift? Are these things fun?

I've got a few of these. Evo IX, Infinity G35 and Mustang GT. I haven't pulled mine out of the box in a couple years. I have grip tires, rubber tires and drift tires. I need to mess with these again!

I last drove mine 5 years ago. I just got an aluminum chassis, a better motor, and an add on board to handle the power. Oh yeah, and a parts car. With drift tires, you can. They are pretty fun. If you ever buy one, go on ebay and get an evo one, the ones at the radioshack now are crap.

Funny you should mention this. I just moved and I just threw mine away which had been sitting on a shelf for YEARS accumulating dust after a few wires broke loose.
I think I had close to $1000 in that little thing (yeah, I got carried away.) I had ALL the billet aluminum parts, even the laser cut powder-coated aluminum chassis, Fatboy motor, and even one of AtomicMods's prototype heatsinks with a small CPU fan... oh and lithium batteries and a V2 board, and... and I had modified the bodies with three sets of lights so that ALL portions of the headlight and taillight assemblies lit up.
That thing could do close to 50 MPH. It was AWESOME. In hindsight it was a huge waste of money, but maybe not since I had so much fun with it.
Then I got a real car.

I had one that was built up with aluminum parts and added electronics and a better motor and batteries. It could hit close to 50 MPH. The only tires I could use were the intermediate rubber tires. The grip tires would get torn up too quickly, and the drift tires made the car so drifty that it handled more like the ship in an asteroids game.

I have a scion tc one I'm working on (the last owner decided to ruin a good part of the front end and remove a few bearings) I can sell you in a few weeks. But look around on eBay first.

Wow. I just bought a 50k rpm motor and a V2 board...I'm going to try to make an orange version of the Challenger Hellcat, along with the massive torque.

I know I threw away several boxes of stuff. I'm pretty sure I threw the car away too, but if I didn't maybe you could use some of the parts. Even the upgraded bearings made a big difference.

If you find them, that would be great. The stock bearings have a ton of wobble and I have to go to Radioshack to buy some 18 and 24 ish gauge cable to wire up the v2. oh yeah, brushing up on my shitty soldering skills.

I've got one that'll do close to 40 with the current motor and stock frame. I know your pain with the drift tires. The foam ones just get shredded.
